Meet the Coaches

Tom Crosby

Honorary Lifetime Coach

Tom Crosby is a World War II Prisoner of War (POW), and a Korean War Navy Veteran.

He has been coaching since 1959, totaling over 50 years of mentorship.  At the 1956 U.S. Olympic Trials he placed 3rd, making him one of the top 3 wrestlers in the entire United States at his weight class.

He is cross-talented, having coached multiple sports. He has worked alongside U.S. Olympic Gold Medalist swimmers such as Buster Crabbe and Johnny Weissmuller.

He has specialized in diving, at one time coaching U.S. Gold Medalist Greg Louganis.  He has also coached multiple divers to National Championships.  As a professional High-Diver, he performed over 200 shows with Sea World’s Shamu show.

His lifetime experiences are passed onto our wrestlers through his motivational speeches and life lessons.  His words of wisdom, and his ability to overcome hardships greater than anything we will ever have to endure or imagine are summed up into one word: “APPRECIATION.”

He is the epitome of perseverance and mental toughness.

We are honored to call him “Coach”.
